Codicote Neighbourhood Plan Referendum – 15th August

North Herts have scheduled a referendum on the Codicote Neighbourhood Plan for 15th August. Look out for your polling card in the post.

What is the Codicote Neighbourhood Plan?

The Plan is a series of planning policies created to give residents more input into local planning decisions.

It includes detailed design codes for any new development and has policies reflecting residents’ priorities on the environment and community facilities. The Neighbourhood Plan document and supporting information can be viewed at https://www.north-herts.gov.uk/codicote-neighbourhood-plan

Why vote on the plan?

The referendum allows residents to choose whether to accept or reject the Plan to be used by North Herts to help decide planning applications in the Parish. The outcome will be determined by a simple majority of votes.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

that due to the resignation of Councillor Russell Green, a vacancy has arisen in the Office of
Councillor for the Parish Council.

If by Wednesday, 30 July, 2025 (14 days excluding Dies Non, after the date of this notice) a
request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Proper Officer at the address
below by TEN electors for the said Ward, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise
the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

If an election is called, it will take place not later than Thursday, 2 October, 2025.
